Port Bannatyne Stone Quay

  • This is the shelter at the good end of the Quay

We are enlisting the help of members to add to our knowledge about the Old Stone Quay at the Port.

If you know when the Quay was built, what type of goods were brought to it, anything about it in its early days, we would be grateful if you added it to this page.

Any very old picture of the subject would be appreciated.

The Port Bannatyne Village Enhancement Group has received £10,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund towards the restoration work on the stone quay.

Tim Saul says

The Port Bannatyne Quay Repair Company wish to trace the owner of the fishing boat Ocean Queen which has been berthed alongside the Old Stone Quay for mant years. Before repairs to the Quay can be started, it will be necessary for the boat to be moved. If anyone has contact details for the owner(s) could they please contact Tim Saul of the PBQR Co on 01700 503640.
