Ellis Rutherford (Island Plumbing and Flooring), acted as the sole contractor during the renovation of our family home on Barone Road in Rothesay on the Isle of Bute over this past summer. He organised and planned every aspect of the works and carried out everything himself from plumbing to tiling to carpeting to plastering to decorating (painting, wallpapering, electric work, repairing walls etc). I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of his work. On occasions, with my permission, he made his own decisions regards to tiles and has shown that he has excellent taste perfectly suited to the job at hand. I felt perfectly secure giving him a set of keys for the house and he showed himself to be a reliable, hard-working, very versatile and cheerful worker who was open to all suggestions and had plenty of his own if I was ever unsure what to decide. What convenience to have one person do everything, instead of dealing with many different workers in different disciplines trying to coordinate everyone! It was much easier to deal just with Ellis and to know that he would organise all the work to be done professionally, on time and exactly the way I required. I would unhesitatingly recommend his services to anyone undertaking a home renovation.
