Bute Sunday Session
The Bute Sunday Session was established in February 2008 by Sam Tweedlie, Paul Templeman and Paul Melvin of Acousticrat. The remit was to bring quality regular live acoustic music to the Isle Of Bute, to encourage local performers and were possible, budget permitting to feature national and international touring/recording artistes.
Over the last 21 months Bute Sunday Session has played host to over 60 acts from every corner of the UK, as well as international acts from Ireland, Estonia, Austrailia, Canada, Portugal and no less than 14 States of America. In addition, dozens of local performers and drop-in musicians have taken advantage of our open-mic policy.
From November 29th the Bute Sunday Session will be based at The Argyll Arms (the Gluepot) Watergate Rothesay. Doors open 4:30pm. Admission is free unless stated otherwise
