 Towards a Career in Childcare - Full Time August 2010 Bursary Funded
If you would like to work with young children this access course will give you a basic introduction needed to progress to HNC level Study developing skills such as providing for an early years curriculum, child protection, child with special needs, care and feeding of babies, child development, plus gain experience workplace. Suitable as a progression to….  Digital Media Computing – Full Time August 2010, Bursary FundedAccess Level course aimed at preparing you for higher education study in the multimedia industry. The course will cover office applications, Photoshop techniques, video editing, audio editing, web design and how to put it all together into a package ready for show on the web or for publication. Access to Construction – Full Time August 2010, Bursary FundedAn introductory course that will give you basic skills needed for work on a construction site such as basic brick laying, decorative painting, carpentry & joinery, plumbing and general construction practices.    Construction & D.I.Y evening courses Introduction to Plumbing: - Intro to basic plumbing, creating joints and manipulating pipes. Carpentry: - Learn all about site carpentry & joinery, techniques used by professionals, all about bench joinery and repair & maintenance D.I.Y: - All things D.I.Y     Evening Computing Courses Starting October 2009:Beginners Computing          
Course for complete beginners, if you’re not confident with computers this is the course for you. By the end of the course, the student should be able to:
  • Operate a PC at a moderately competent level
  • Produce and print bodies of text
  • Conduct a simple internet search
  • Send and receive email

Learn how to correctly install hardware and gadgets such as printers, webcams, graphics cards and troubleshoot basic problems as well as keeping your pc well maintained and running smoothly. This course also covers areas such as how to install antivirus and anti malware programs.

Vocal Coaching: -
Learn to use your voice to its full potential, we will show you how to breathe properly to fully support your voice giving it a warm full tone, increasing your confidence also relaxation techniques and how to hold yourself correctly. Also learn to reach Falsetto comfortably. 
     
Basic Rock Guitar :- Basic rock chords and improvisational solo techniques  
       
Music for TV & Film: -First steps in learning how to use computer software to create music either by using synth or plugging in a guitar or other basic equipment. No super fancy recording equipment needed for this! Ukulele for Beginners: -Learn how to play basic chords and rhythms on the ukulele. This is a very practical, fun based course where you will learn how to play popular songs like you’ve never heard them before!  On completion of this course, you may want to join the College Ukulele Ensemble! Beginners Acoustic Guitar: -Guitar for complete beginners         Intermediate Acoustic Guitar: -
