How to record video: Digital camera
Most digital stills cameras can also capture good quality
video. Look for a movie (
) or similar option on your camera.
Shooting your video
- You can shoot either one continuous clip or several shorter clips. However, if you shoot more than one clip you'll need to edit them together into a single clip on your computer.
- The total size of your video file must be less than 100MB. If it's larger, you'll need to edit it down either by cutting out sections or by saving it in a more compressed format.
Transferring to your computer
- Connect your camera to your computer the same way you do for photos. This can either be by USB cable or by removing the camera's memory card and inserting that into a memory card reader if you have one.
- Either use the software that came with your camera or simply drag and drop the video file from your memory card to your computer.
